There is the possibility of using waste from other industries in the production of new materials for civil works. Yet, must be careful because not all industrial residues serve as raw material.
By NBR 10004 ABNT, many are classified as hazardous or non-inert. The layman imagines that any waste can be recycled or treated to be used to obtain new components or materials. However, construction waste is not a repository of any kind or origin, much less the sector that could solve all the problems of other industrial offices.
For use of certain waste, and many researches with this kind of material, studies should be carried out as: life cycle and development of a new product.
Thereby, construction may be a shortcut to sustainable development.
